Chefs in Schools – mission is to improve the health of children by better eating and food education 6 December 2019

Introducing Chefs in Schools, a charity co-founded by Henry Dimbleby (founder of LEON, author of the School Food Plan and leading the National Food Strategy for DEFRA) and supported by patrons including Prue Leith & Yotam Ottolenghi. The Charity will talk through their programme for revolutionising school food and food education in schools. The meeting will be hosted at Larmenier & Sacred Heart Primary School, who have been working with the Charity since July 2019. The aim is to give Headteachers an overview of how the programme works, as a transformational alternative to outsourcing lunch provision.

Teaching climate change – Headteacher update


EduCCate Global and a group of Teaching Schools in Derbyshire are supporting teachers to train in climate change education in order to equip children to handle an uncertain future on a warming planet. Peer to peer school review. Facilitated school groupings that enable schools to work collaboratively and learn from each other sharing best practice. Support peer reviews with an experienced advisor. Develop SLT capacity to monitor, evaluate and review.
