Join your subject leader colleagues for the Primary Geography & History Coordinators Network Meeting on Thursday, 17 May 2018, 1.30 – 4pm.
Our friendly and supportive meetings involve the opportunity to network and share experiences with your colleagues from other schools. These meetings are collaborative and there is a chance to discuss any other issues with colleagues that you may wish to raise.
Please come ready to share and participate and bring along any ideas, concerns, resources and examples of work that you would like to share with others.
Our May meeting will look at curriculum mapping and design in Geography and History. Alex Pethick from West London Free School will talk about her schools experience of Curriculum Design with discussion and activities which will enable you to also share your own schools experience and ideas. Please could teachers bring their current curriculum maps/long term plans to the session to share and discuss.
In addition to the usual networking acitvities, we will aim to cover other queries and, time permitting, will head outside for the final part of the session to explore how the Hammersmith Riverside can be used for learning.
Please bring to the session:
– An example of geography and/or history class books from your school for 2 different year groups
– An example of current curriculum mapping/long term plans
Please note that it is essential to book for this session and places are limited to 25 delegates. Available on a first come, first served basis.
