Tri-borough Early Years Consortium – supporting children’s Musical Play and Communication Using Books – Tuesday 25 February 2020

This will be a highly practical session that explores musical concepts and children’s ;literature.  This practical session will introduce musical concepts that we can use to explore, support and extend play with phonics and children’s literature.

Throughout the session, participants will explore:

Sound play

Creative play using a set narrative

Connection and communication through spontaneous musical play

This course will be delivered by Kate Comberti, a violinist, researcher and early years music specialist who works with Creative Futures: https://www.creativefuturesuk.com/kate-comberti

Target audience:  This course is suitable for anyone who works with children in their Early Years

Cost Professionals connected to, or working with, state-maintained settings/arts organisations within one of three boroughs – Hammersmith & Fulham; Kensington & Chelsea; Westminster: £30  For all other professionals outside of the state-maintained sector in the Tri-borough area:  £50
